Paul Sliker creates bespoke public relations for non-fiction authors and publishers, public intellectuals and academics, business and technology leaders, and organizations and institutions.

Built on a philosophy of “thematic public relations,” PSPR goes beyond isolated media hits to align clients’ expertise with broader trends, key moments in the news cycle, and intellectual debates. The result is media coverage that builds lasting impact, sustained momentum, and deeper engagement.

In a rapidly evolving media and public relations landscape shaped by artificial intelligence, PSPR thoughtfully leverages emerging tools while emphasizing the irreplaceable human elements of storytelling, judgment, relationships, and creative insight. This balance ensures clients not only stay ahead—but stand out.

Paul Sliker has worked with leading thinkers across economics, technology, business, academia, public policy, international affairs, and journalism. His clients have included economists Jeffrey D. Sachs, Keyu Jin, and Dambisa Moyo; leading business and tech figures like LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and NYU marketing professor Scott Galloway; and prominent public intellectuals such as Yuval Noah Harari and bestselling marketing expert Seth Godin. He has also worked with several acclaimed journalists, including Pulitzer Prize–winning investigative reporter Dana Mattioli and author and journalist Michael Pollan—and many more.

The nonfiction books and ideas he helps shape cover a wide range of serious topics—from the global economy, climate, and AI to business, finance, public health, and even smart self-help. He has collaborated with nearly all of the major nonfiction imprints, as well as a range of independent and emerging publishers. He occasionally works on select projects with other PR firms and with teams in marketing, branding, advertising, and creative—typically when his specific expertise is called for.

In addition to individual clients, Paul has advised major institutions including the United Nations, Harvard Business School, The Financial Times, MIT, The Rockefeller Foundation, and others.

Over the years, Paul has not only been a publicist but also a commentator and writer, sharing perspectives on things he’s passionate about—from heterodox economics to big mountain skiing. In his free time, he’s often somewhere in the woods—hiking with his family, and building and riding mountain bike trails.

-Scott Galloway, professor of marketing at NYU Stern, and host of Pivot and Prof G Podcasts

“I have had the distinct pleasure of collaborating with Paul for several years now, and I can confidently say that he is not just a publicist but a strategic partner who has significantly elevated my platform. One of Paul’s greatest strengths lies in his knack for idea creation. Whether it's brainstorming innovative angles for specific media opportunities, conceptualizing timely Op-Ed pieces, or strategizing comprehensive media campaigns, Paul consistently demonstrates his creativity and strategic acumen. Working with Paul has been nothing short of transformative, and I wouldn't consider entrusting my media relations to anyone else.”

-Mauro Guillen, dean of the Cambridge Judge Business School

“Quite simply, my book would not have succeeded without Paul. As a first time author, I had no idea how to navigate the publicity process. Paul brought strategic judgment, wide connections, and terrifically hard work to the project. Most importantly, Paul took the time to understand my book and what I was trying to accomplish, which made his work and mine so much more effective. I recommend Paul highly.”

-Brendan Ballou, DOJ federal prosecutor and author of Plunder

“Paul’s strength isn’t just usual things you expect from a publicist – pitching, securing media coverage and so on – although he does those extremely well. It’s his ability to get into the substance, and anticipate the way your message will land with a whole range of audiences. He did this brilliantly for ‘Net Positive’, working with me and my team to refine our talking points and lines for interviews. Thoughtful, effective and also a good guy – someone you want to work with.

-Paul Polman, former CEO of Unilever

"I'm deeply grateful to Paul, who has done a stellar job with my latest book and is a true pleasure to work with. He is impactful, effective, and devoted. He is with you on the journey the entire time, and with his resources, acumen, and enthusiasm, he can help you reach your goals or overcome any challenges. The book is only one aspect of our collaboration, which is both deep and broad, and I believe that he can bring value to authors on so many levels and over the long run."

-Keyu Jin, renowned economist at the London School of Economics

Paul is a one of a kind publicist: driven, dedicated, and wickedly smart. I worked with him on a very complex, nuanced and sensitive campaign that he executed with extreme care, professionalism, and creativity. We received press hits beyond our wildest expectations and can safely say these were thanks to his network, forethought, and persistence. I recommend him highly to anyone looking for an exceptional experience in the high-wire world of PR.”

“Paul was a trusted advisor and steady hand during my book launch. His connections in business media were unparalleled, which helped secure premier hits on major television shows and podcasts. He is incredibly organized, hard working and thoughtful. He was an incredible sounding board on how to position and message my book, and took such a keen interest in its success and innately understood the subject matter.”

-Dana Mattioli, Pulitzer Prize finalist investigative reporter for The Wall Street Journal

Quite simply, Paul is remarkable. He had a perfect understanding of the issues surrounding my book and its societal impact and a breathtaking knowledge of the media sector, all with an enormous capacity for work and great efficiency. I want to thank Paul for his unfailing commitment.”

-Carlos Moreno, pioneering urbanist

"I’ve had the pleasure of working with Paul on several bestselling books, and his expertise in positioning these titles for optimal media coverage while connecting them to relevant societal themes has been key to their success. Paul's deep understanding of media landscapes and his ability to position themes and ideas in compelling ways for the press consistently deliver impactful results. His creativity and unwavering dedication make him an invaluable partner for any author or publisher."

-Niki Papadopoulos, VP and Editor-in-Chief, Portfolio imprint at Penguin Random House

“Paul and I have worked on several campaigns together, spanning different publishers and multiple distinct projects—each demanding scrupulous media attention in tough news cycles. But more than any other publicist I know, Paul delivered—not just in securing a wide range of media coverage, but in ensuring the authors were positioned in the most compelling and polished way possible. These books, their authors, and I owe a debt to Paul, for without his expertise, they wouldn’t have succeeded in garnering the mass attention and high praise they received. Paul is an indispensable resource and a truly special mind in the PR world.”

-Pronoy Sarkar, literary agent, Georges Borchardt, Inc.

“Paul is a savvy public relations expert with the highest 'get it' factor out there. He knows what's essential and what's not. He has the perspicacity to get to the heart of any book marketing or PR issue fast--and then make things happen. It's a pleasure to recommend him.”

-Greg McKeown, bestselling author

“Paul Sliker, publicist for my 12th book, blew previous publicists out of the water. Print stories appeared in The Washington Post, The Associated Press, Sierra Club Magazine, The New York Times and The Financial Times, along with fantastic online media coverage on platforms like Grist, Vox, Business Insider, and Mindbodygreen. Author interviews were scheduled on CNBC, HBO, NPR, PRI, and The Economist—and these are only samples. Equally important, Paul helped us understand our own goals and audience better than we did. From start to finish, the work with Mr. Sliker was by far the best publicity of my 25-year career in this business.”

-Philip Clayton, philosopher and president, EcoCiv

“Paul led the efforts to publicize our book. He did a great job of it, working tirelessly to bring the book to the attention of editors and reporters. We got more column inches (digital and print) in more prominent outlets than I've ever gotten for a book, and I've used a variety of publicists in the past. Paul really engaged with the content of the book and made the effort to understand it. And he has great relationships with people in the media. I would strongly recommend Paul if you need help getting your ideas out into the world.”

-Tom Davenport, bestselling author

“Paul was integral to the launch of my book. The end result of the work we have done together is more than stunning. Thank you, Paul.”

-Christian Madsbjerg, philosopher and entrepreneur

“Working with Paul was a pleasure for our team. He took the time to truly understand what we were trying to achieve and offered deep insights beyond just promotion. His curiosity and intelligence make him a unique PR professional, in my experience.”
